Does your Health Insurance really pay?

By Sylvia Clark

Hope everyone is doing fine!
I'd like to share some inside information on Healthcare Insurance. I have been working in the health care industry for quite some time now and I am getting prepared to go to congress and help them solve some of the Nations problems we have in the Health care industry.
I am sure that most of you are paying a monthly premium to a health care program. Is that policy really worth what you are paying? Are you using it enough so that the amount of coverage you are using is equal to or more than the amount the coverage pays for you.
Here is an example of what I am asking you:
if you are paying $24.95 per week for your coverage, that comes to $99.80 per month.
Take that and multiply it by 12 for a total of $1,197.60 a year.
Here is what the Insurance companies don’t want you to know. When you go to the providers’ office and give them the $35.00 take a look at what the health insurance pays on your explanation of benefits. Most of the explanations of benefits will not pay anything from the insurance company because you have paid more than the allowable amount of the cost of the visit. In fact, Medicare will only pay a provider $7.50 for you having a simple office visit with you’re participating provider. Think about it, you have paid three times that amount with your co pay..
Now think about how many times you actually visit your health care provider. The average American only sees their provider three times per year. That is $35.00 X 3 = $105.00 a year. That is more than one month’s total for the cost of the insurance which leaves a balance of $ 1,092 that you are paying for that you are not using the coverage. That is the profit that is plan is making from you.
I will be telling more, but you really have to want to know more also.
